Please be aware that this sticky entry will be modified when needed. ^_^

In all of my entries I will use the word "anime" to reference Japanese Animation. I am well aware of the fact that anime encompases all animation, American included. I may use "japanime" when I include American titles in my entries, but that may be rare events. Either way, please be aware of how I use the word in my writings.

I read back at my last post about this series and feel so disappointed. Even to the end, I was left wanting more. It's a bad thing when at the end you're still left with the "Ooh, umm..okay. Now, where's the rest?" Yes, the suspense at the end of some of the episodes was good, but there was never any follow through! And there are certain things that we, the viewers, picked up on well into the second episode that the creators left till the end for the characters to find out. Now come on! I'm thinking that alot of the episodes could have been shortened and combined. It would have made for more interesting fillers and the story could have been taken into a better angle. Dunno.

I guess I'm just upset at the fact that I really had some high hopes. The style and music of the anime was above par. The story, gah the story... Anyways, I still recommend you downloading it and it's predecessor Onegai Teacher. I know I know. "After a review like that?!" But doesn't it say something when the reviewer is passionate about the series and wished it could have gone on longer or just been a bit better? ^_^

Anyone up for a third part to the series? I've read some rooting for Onegai Mother! O_o

OMG, I can't take this series anymore! The suspense that it always leaves you at is incredible. Seriously! I am always looking forward to the next episode because I keep thinking "This is the one where something will happen. Something meaty that will make me all kinds of satisfied." But it never does!

(Spoilers)

I guess we will have to wait for next week to see the conclusion. I really can't wait. I mean I have been counting the days till the next Tuesday throught this series because I really can't wait to see the new episodes. Sure it's gotten slack for not being as original in it's plot lines as Onegai Teacher, but it sure has taken a hold of me.

Run Maiku! Run!

"OMG! Is that the subject of this entry? Really?"

Yeah it is! What? Like none of you actually saw the series before? You know that you did. You all loved it. I just happen to have tapes of most of the crappy American episodes.

So anyways, I was in a mood the other night and decided that it was time to dust them all off and take another look at the anime that started the craze that we live in now. Yes, there was Robotech in the 80's, a series that I truely love and admire, but we all know that if it wasn't for the girl in the too short tu-tu type of uniform we wouldn't have as much anime in Amercia as we do now.

I was surprised to find out that I didn't remember the first season as well as I should have. Hehehe. Well I should say that I didn't remember the early filler episodes. The ones that had more to do with the plot were pretty familiar. What I did find out was that while my brother was watching the tapes, he had inadvertently taped some of the DBZ crap he was watching over my anime. ><

So after watching all the episodes that I could watch, I went online to see if I could find the DVDs. Of course the first place that I went to was Amazon. I visit it often so I knew that they had the boxed set of the uncut first and second seasons. Unfortunately while I was digging for more information on what the actual sets contained, I found that they were actually only the Japane episodes with english subtitles. Gah. "Why 'gah'?" Well because though the American dub was total crap, I would really like a DVD set that has all of them in it too. It's vital when you want to see what is really being said and compare it to what we were subjected to. Hehehe. What is worse is that the ones that do have the english dubs are new ones without the complete original cast. Again, gah! Either way, I can't afford the boxed sets. I did put them on my wish list. But as soon as I see proper boxed sets, I am replacing them with the ones that are on there now.

All in all, it was a good series to start off with. For those that are now in love with the art for that is anime (series, movies, manga, etc.), give props to those series that you once loved. Go back and view them. Relish in the feelings and memories that they bring back. It's all good. ^_^
